Daisy Chain at Mytton Oak
Daisy Chain at Mytton Oak is a purpose built nursery, which opened in September 2007 and is situated at the rear of Maternity within the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital site. The nursery is approached via the service entrance to the hospital, in Mytton Oak Road.
The nursery has superb facilities including four main, large and airy rooms for the children. All four main rooms have direct access to the outdoor play area which is laid with a safety surface. Outside there is a small Forest School / mud kitchen area in which the children can explore and build on personal responsibility. Indoors there is a sensory room which enables all age groups to enjoy a wide range of sensory experiences for learning, relaxation and fun; as well as offering a therapeutic experience for those with sensory processing disorders. At the front of the nursery is designated drop off parking.
The nursery is open from Monday to Friday from 7.00am (by prior arrangement) until 6.00pm for all parents. However, priority for the Early Bird session (7.00am to 7.30am) is given to NHS staff. The standard nursery day for all parents is from 7.30am.
While our admissions policy gives priority to NHS staff, we very much welcome non NHS families.
Daisy Chain at Mytton Oak has the Food Standards Agency top rating of 5 for Food Hygiene Standards and the Primary Quality Mark for Early Years.
